Paper Torsai

Most commonly known in Malaysia as the Paper Thosai, this Malaysian version of pancake is made from rice batter and black lentils. It is a common breakfast dish usually eaten with some form of curry.For my family, it is a weekend tradition to go to our favorite “mamak” stall (Malaysian version of coffee stores) for “roti” (Malay for Indian bread), which includes the Paper Thosai. Yes, we eat curry in the morning!
